nowish

Todo done right; tasks done now(ish)

nowish is a shared to-do app for the stuff of real life — the dirty dishes, the squeaky hinges, the daily habits. It shows the handful of things that matter about now, and lets everything else wait its turn.

one calm plate

only what needs doing now

No infinite backlog, no overdue guilt. Your home screen holds the handful of tasks that matter about now — check one off and it quietly steps aside until it’s due again.

The nowish home screen: a task card reading ‘Download nowish’ just checked off, with ‘Develop routines’, ‘Collaborate’, and ‘Get life together’ still on the plate.

quick capture

jot it before it slips away

A task can start as a couple of words — “oil the squeaky hinges” — and that’s enough. Add steps, timing, and importance now, nowish, later, or never!

The new-task screen, capturing a task by typing just ‘Oil the squeaky hinges’.

routines that share the load

come back around, take turns

Tell nowish “every 10 days” and it does the remembering. Share a routine with your household and let it rotate who’s up — round robin, lottery, or weighted — so the load stays fair without anyone playing manager.

The edit-task screen for a living-room reset: three steps, repeating every 10 days, normal importance, with turns assigned by lottery.
